Another offering of slow, crushing instrumental doom and sludge. While Giza are content to maintain a pace which many tortoises would have no trouble following, they do throw in some more introspective breaks to lift you out of the mire from time to time. Perhaps to the point of self-indulgence one may argue, but all in all a solid mini album to keep us fans happy! Morts
Shepherd is one of the good Stoner/Doom/Sludge bands from India and this debut full-length album of theirs made for an interesting and enjoyable listen. V.Ganesh

A mind-bending psychedelic rock opera with the songs to match, “Xafyre Dynasty” has its controls set for the heart of the sun. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 24, 2022
The track The Forest Prevails is the true gem of this album in my opinion. It alone makes this album a must-have for any doom/heavy lover. It's thick and grimy with a fuzzdriven sound to it that really makes this semi-droning groove a friggin' masterpiece. Zhakathoom
